By Bryon Zirker

If you are indulging in high carb meals keep in mind that
high carbs can lead to obesity and ill health. something
that will help regulate your blood sugar and keep it in
check would be to consume some almonds at the same
time.

In the Journal of Nutrition a recent article brought to light
that almonds actually balance blood sugar following the
consumption of high carb delights. One serving of these
fabulous nuts can stop blood sugar increases caused by
high-glycemic foods. Remember High-Glycemic foods
include bread, pasta and grains.

Almonds act as antioxidants, which has a direct affect on
your heart. They act to neutralize free radicals that are
released by high-carbproducts. Almonds are a great source
of protein and the following:omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E,
magnesium, fiber, potassium, calcium, and iron. Also they
fight diabetes and heart disease which is very good news.
