Apple Vs Alzheimers

By Bryon Zirker

Research of late has shown that an apple every day
does not just keep old doc away. It is great for
memory too.

The Journal on Nutrition, Health and Aging put
forth that foods with high levels of quercetin
provides protection to nuerons from free-radiacl
damages which is a contibuting factor in Alzheimer's
disease. Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant that
is found in the skin of red apples.

I would recommend indulging in eating red apples
like red delicious, Mcintosh or Rome. As apples go
remember they are better when redder.

Also try not to get crazy with apple juice as it
is very high in sugars. Stick with eating apples
for a great source of sustained energy.
